Massage therapy FAQ

How long will the massage be?

We offer 30, 60 or 90 minute massages in a variety of styles.

What types of massages do you offer?

All kinds! Currently we offer therapeutic, deep tissue, Swedish, craniosacral, lymphatic drainage, hot stone and sports massage.

Do I have to take off all my clothes?

This is completely up to you. We invite patients to undress to their comfort level. The massage typically starts under a blanket and there is draping provided throughout. Please communicate any hesitations with your therapist.

Do I leave a tip?

A tip is never expected, however, greatly appreciated.

How much pressure do you use?

Our therapists work within your comfort range. Communicate throughout the massage if you would like more or less pressure. If you are holding your breath, chances are the pressure is too intense.

Did you go to school to be a massage therapist?

Yes. The city of St. Paul requires 500 hours of schooling from a massage school and a city license. Most schools offer education in multiple modalities of massage and courses range from CPR to anatomy, ethics, business and more.
