What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is a technique which inserts fine needles in the body in order to illicit a healing response. It originated in ancient China. It is an effective therapy used to treat a wide variety of health concerns

How does acupuncture work?

Our bodies innately want to heal themselves. When you are injured, your body will start the process of healing. Think of the last time you had a papercut. Do you recall how it healed before you knew it? Acupuncture uses needles to provide that same healing response. Except this time, the trauma is painless, safe, intentional, microscopic and doesn’t hurt.

How many times will I need to come in for treatments?

We are very focused on your needs and as such, our treatment plans reflect this. Our goal is to work with you towards your health and wellness path. Often in the beginning of treatment, acupuncture sessions are scheduled closer together to help the body learn a new way of living.
